Why I Am Here What I Offer Who I Am
I am a science enthusiast and passionate communicator and connector. A physicist by training, I worked on quantum entanglement and quantum information processing during my PhD studies at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching near Munich before joining Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, a German national lab in Hamburg, where I spent several years gathering experience as a research manager.
I had the privilege to serve as Scientific Secretary of LEAPS, an international consortium of 16 European research facilities operating particle accelerators for photon science, during its preparatory phase until its official launch in Brussels. Among other things I did at DESY, I coordinated the largest strategy process in its 60 year history with more than 400 people involved and covering all areas from research to scientific support and general infrastructures.
In summer 2018, I started work as an independent consultant.
